Masked Thugs Fail in Wavertree Tesco Express Raid

Merseyside Police are hunting two masked robbers who tried to strong-arm a delivery driver this morning, December 24, outside Tesco Express on High Street, Wavertree.

Thugs Threaten Driver but Get Away Empty-Handed

The drama unfolded just after 9 a.m. when two men, decked out head-to-toe in black with faces covered, confronted the delivery driver. Despite their threats, the pair fled the scene empty-handed in a white van, leaving no one injured.

Police Urge Public to Help Crack the Case

Officers are combing CCTV footage and conducting door-to-door inquiries as the probe kicks off. Chief Inspector Neal Arrowsmith said:

“We can confirm an investigation is underway following the attempted robbery this morning. We are still in the very early stages and officers remain at the scene. If you have any information, please come forward.”

He urged anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward. Shoppers and passersby in the area at the time are also encouraged to review any recordings.
