Teen Stabbed During Stockport Burglary – Police Hunt White Car Trio
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are urgently appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed during a burglary in Stockport. The teen needed surgery for a hand injury but is expected to make a full recovery.
Midnight Attack Shakes Heaton Mersey
The shocking incident happened just after midnight on Wednesday, September 13, on Queen’s Drive, Heaton Mersey. Officers rushed to a home after reports of a break-in. Upon arrival, they found the injured teenager who was quickly taken to hospital. Thankfully, police say his wounds are not life-threatening.
Suspects Flee Scene in White Estate Car
Detective Sergeant Kirsty Pierce from GMP’s Stockport CID called the attack “an isolated incident” but confirmed patrols have increased locally to ease community fears. The suspects are believed to be three men who arrived in a white vehicle, possibly an estate car. The car was seen cruising down Queen’s Drive before parking at the junction with Thornfield Drive.
After stabbing the teen, the trio jumped into the car and sped off towards Mauldeth Road, making a quick getaway.
Police Seek Dashcam & CCTV Footage
GMP are appealing to anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell camera footage of a white vehicle on Queen’s Drive between 12:15 am and 12:30 am that night to come forward.
