In response to recent developments involving senior leadership within Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service, an interim assistant chief officer has been appointed to provide additional support during ongoing investigations.

At an extraordinary meeting convened by the Shropshire Fire and Rescue Authority, members unanimously agreed to appoint Samantha Burton to the role of interim assistant chief officer.
