David Ogoe, a 34-year-old resident of Bury Close in Rotherhithe, has been handed a substantial prison sentence of six years and seven months after being found guilty of two counts related to the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.
Ogoe’s conviction stems from an investigation into the notorious ‘Buzz’ drug line operating in Norfolk. The inquiry revealed Ogoe’s significant involvement in running the illicit drug network.
Further investigations uncovered that Ogoe had passed control of the drug line to a 16-year-old individual, adding to the severity of his offences.
Following his arrest in April 2021, Ogoe was charged with drug-related offences and subsequently appeared at Norwich Crown Court on Thursday, February 8, 2024, to face sentencing.
Detective Constable Rebecca Pitt, the investigating officer from Norfolk Police, emphasized the significance of Ogoe’s sentencing in addressing drug-related crime and its impact on local communities. DC Pitt underscored the importance of community involvement in combating drug dealing and associated anti-social behaviour, urging those affected by such issues to report them to Norfolk Police to prevent further offences.
The sentencing of David Ogoe underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to tackle drug-related crime and safeguard communities from the harmful effects of drug trafficking.
