Didcot Teen Nabbed in Counter-Terror Raid
A 16-year-old boy from Didcot, Oxfordshire, has been charged with multiple terror-related offences after a Counter Terrorism Policing South East investigation. Police swooped on his home on 12 March, uncovering a stash of weapons and suspected extremist material.
Shocking Arsenal Found in Bedroom
Among the haul were 17 knives, including machetes, and an alleged suicide bomb vest. The teen is suspected of sharing Islamic State propaganda linked to Paris terrorist attacks, plus footage of battlefield explosions and killings.
Serious Charges Laid
The youngster faces several charges announced on 18 March:
- Two counts of disseminating terrorist publications (Terrorism Act 2006)
- Three counts of possessing articles for terrorism (Terrorism Act 2000)
- Two counts of possessing material useful for terrorism (Terrorism Act 2000)
- Failure to comply with a notice under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA)
Authorities continue probing the case as public alarm grows over the rise of homegrown extremism.
