Fatal Crash Shakes North Yorkshire
A teenage girl lost her life after a minibus collided with a car near Tadcaster. The tragedy unfolded just after 12.28pm on Monday, 1 December 2025, at the junction of Toulston Lane and Rudgate, North Yorkshire Police confirmed.
The Collision Details
The white Mercedes Sprinter minibus, carrying nine passengers aged between 16 and 18, was heading towards Sherburn when it was hit by a light-coloured Hyundai i10 entering Toulston Lane from Rudgate. The teen girl died instantly at the scene.
Injuries and Arrest
- Another teenage girl was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
- The other passengers and the minibus driver suffered minor injuries and received hospital treatment.
- The Hyundai driver, a 40-year-old woman, has been arrested as police continue their investigation.
