An Albanian man, dumped from the UK twice already, has been jailed after sneaking back a third time.

Emirjon Gjuta’s Bumpy Journey

Emirjon Gjuta, 34, faced Leeds Crown Court last Friday after admitting to breaching his deportation order by re-entering the UK in November 2024.

His first deportation came in August 2020 following a drug conviction. Then, in March 2023, he was kicked out again for using false documents. Despite this, Gjuta managed to slip back in once more before being arrested in Leeds in September 2025.

Claims of Confusion Fall Flat

Gjuta’s spokesperson argued he didn’t fully understand the deportation orders because no interpreter was provided at his 2020 and 2022 hearings.

But court officials pointed out that Gjuta signed documents agreeing to the 2020 deportation and never challenged it.

14 Months Behind Bars

Leeds Crown Court handed Gjuta a 14-month jail sentence for his flagrant return to the UK.

How exactly he slipped back in remains a mystery.
