Albanian Man Jailed After Dodging UK Deportation for Third Time

Emirjon Gjuta’s Wild Ride

Emirjon Gjuta, 34, has finally been locked up after sneaking back into the UK for the third time. The Albanian was hauled before Leeds Crown Court last Friday after admitting he breached his deportation order by returning in November 2024.

Gjuta’s bumpy history started with his first deportation in August 2020, following a drug conviction. Then, in March 2023, he was bounced out again for using fake documents. Yet somehow, he managed to slip back into the country before getting arrested in Leeds in September 2025.

Excuses Don’t Fly

Gjuta’s spokesperson claimed he was confused about the deportation orders because no interpreter was provided at his 2020 and 2022 hearings. But the court was having none of it. Officials noted that Gjuta had signed the deportation papers in 2020 and never challenged the decision.

Jailed for 14 Months

Leeds Crown Court handed Gjuta a 14-month sentence for blatantly ignoring the law and returning to the UK. The big question remains: how did he manage to sneak back in unnoticed?
