Two More Held Over Birmingham Shooting Murder

Police have arrested two more men over the deadly shooting of Gavin Parry in Birmingham. The victim, 31, was gunned down on Western Road last Tuesday (13 April).

The latest suspects, aged 21 and 23, were detained earlier today and remain in custody for questioning. Officers are still hunting anyone involved in the killing.

Witnesses Urgently Needed to Crack Case

Detectives want to speak to a man seen riding a scooter near the scene around 5.30pm. He could hold crucial clues.

They are also searching for witnesses or dashcam footage of a dark blue Citroen C3 speeding from the area, reportedly on the wrong side of the road.

Previously, a 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder, and a 29-year-old held for conspiracy, have both been released on bail.

Injured Man in Hospital Could Also Be Questioned

A 22-year-old man injured in the incident remains stable in hospital. He’ll be questioned under caution once fit.

Detective Pleads for Information

“This is an active investigation as we seek to establish exactly what happened,” said Detective Inspector Jim Mahon. “A man tragically lost his life and we believe there are people out there who can help us get the truth. We need anyone with information, however insignificant, to come forward.”
