A 22-year-old man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to terrorism-related charges. Axl Scott was convicted of five counts of violating the Terrorism Act 2000 and one count of possessing a conductive energy device.
The sentencing, which took place on Friday, follows Scott’s guilty plea entered in May of this year. His offences were uncovered in July 2021 when police officers were conducting inquiries at an address in Ardentinny, Scotland.
Clark accentuated the importance of community vigilance in preventing such incidents. He urged the public to report any suspicious activities or potential terrorism-related concerns to Police Scotland via the non-emergency number 101, or 999 in case of emergencies. For those wishing to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers can be contacted at 0800 555 111.
