Brutal Knife Attack Lands Duo Behind Bars
Henry Parkhurst, 24, has been slammed with a hefty nine-year prison sentence at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court. The HMP Dovegate inmate was found guilty of wounding with intent and carrying an offensive weapon in public.
His Accomplice Caught and Jailed
Katherine Beckham, 27, from Leek, was also locked up for four years. She was convicted of kidnap, carrying a knife in public, and dangerous driving in the same chilling case.
Shocking Attack on Busy Road
- On April 25 last year, Beckham was driving a silver Toyota Corolla on Orme Road.
- Parkhurst, riding shotgun, yanked a man from another car and stuffed him into the boot at knifepoint.
- The victim was stabbed multiple times in the back during the ordeal.
- Beckham then tried to smash the vehicle backwards over the victim as he fled and alerted neighbours.
The twisted getaway car was found abandoned on Wain Avenue, with fire damage to its door. Police swiftly arrested both suspects nearby. Beckham was caught carrying a rucksack with a bloodstained kitchen knife.
Police Praise Brave Locals and Successful Arrests
“This was a vicious attack in view of residents who bravely helped at the scene to ensure the victim received medical treatment,” said Detective Inspector Scott McGrath.
“Officers and local police worked tirelessly alongside partners and the public to bring these criminals to justice.”
“I’m happy Beckham and Parkhurst received custodial sentences and hope it reassures the public we do everything to protect victims and communities.”
