Convicted sex offender caught with 27,000 indecent images jailed for nearly four years

Pervert downloaded filthy images at elderly parents’ home

Anthony Harrison, 55, a convicted sex offender, has been locked up for three years and ten months after police found more than 27,000 child sexual abuse images and videos on his devices. The dad-of-two used his elderly parents’ laptop to stash disgusting material onto a memory stick before transferring it back to his own laptop at his Darlington home.

Went missing, got busted in routine police sweep

Teesside Crown Court heard Harrison vanished from his registered address without telling authorities. A routine check of his electrical gadgets led to his arrest. Prosecutor Phillip Morley revealed Harrison secretly stayed at his parents’ Newton Aycliffe home for almost a week, dodging supervision.

Police uncover horror trove of abuse images

Harrison admitted cops would find indecent images across his laptop and various memory sticks. The haul included over 500 top-level category A images, 3,000 category B, and a staggering 24,000 category C images. The vile pictures showed children aged three to 15, including horrific penetrative abuse of toddlers.

Judge slams Harrison’s ‘perverted interest’ in children

Judge Recorder Anthony Hawk branded Harrison’s ‘serious problem with paedophilia’ and blasted, “You think it’s harmless to just look at this filth online? You couldn’t be more wrong. Your sick obsession fuels this disgusting market and you are complicit in the abuse of innocent kids.”

The offender pleaded guilty to four counts of possessing indecent images, breaching a sexual harm prevention order, and failing to notify police about his whereabouts. Harrison now faces years behind bars for his vile crimes.
