Seven Arrested After Massive Mob Riot in Dumbarton

Police launched a major crackdown after a bonkers riot involving up to 300 people erupted in Brucehill, Dumbarton.

Raids Hit Five Scots Towns

On Friday 17 March 2023, officers swooped on properties in Clydebank, Glasgow, Port Glasgow, Wishaw, and Livingston.

They arrested four men aged 21 to 48 and three women between 31 and 43. All were hit with charges of mobbing and rioting.

The gang face Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday 20 March 2023.

Chaos on Graham Street

The mayhem unfolded around 6.50pm on Tuesday 28 February 2023, when cops scrambled to reports of disorder and vandalism on Graham Street, Brucehill.

Up to 300 people were involved, leaving locals shocked and worried.

Police Thank Community & Pledge Safety

Detective Inspector Bernadette Walls said: “I would like to thank the local community of Brucehill for their support and co-operation throughout this investigation. Crime affects the whole community and can cause fear and alarm, we aim to address these issues. It’s important local residents, workers and visitors to the area feel secure and reassured that they can go about their day-to-day lives free from the fear of violence and antisocial behaviour.”

Officers remain in the area to keep the peace and encourage anyone with concerns to approach them.
