Ali Jaber, 28, was convicted following a disturbing incident that took place at around 5.40pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, on Wood Common. Jaber struck a man in his 20s—who was a complete stranger to him—with a black BMW registered to his identical twin, Hossain Jaber.
He was found guilty and sentenced to over 14 years in prison, with the judge condemning the attack as a calculated and violent act carried out with total disregard for human life.

Police Statement

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police praised the teamwork between units that helped bring Jaber to justice.

“This was a violent and shocking attack on an innocent man and his father. Thankfully, both survived, but the impact on their lives has been profound.
The sentence handed down reflects the seriousness of Ali Jaber’s crimes. We are also pleased to have dismantled a dangerous drug line in the process.”

The investigation into further links to the Jaber brothers’ drug operation remains ongoing.
