A quiet morning jog turned into a nightmare for one man in Epsom, Surrey, after he was brutally attacked and robbed at knifepoint.
Surrey Police confirmed that around 5.30am on Saturday, May 4, two men in black tracksuits and balaclavas ambushed the jogger at the junction of Temple Close and Hazon Way. The attackers punched him in the head before stealing his phone and glasses, also rifling through his pockets during the terrifying ordeal.
The suspects, described as white males, quickly fled the scene.
The incident unfolded near Court Recreation Ground — an area typically popular with dog walkers, families, and joggers. The early morning assault has left locals shaken, with many demanding a stronger police presence in the area.
Police Appeal for Information
Surrey Police are urgently appealing for witnesses. Officers are asking anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have CCTV, doorbell footage, or dash cam recordings, to come forward.
