Fire crews called to Laundry room fire in Ventnor

Firefighters stationed at Shanklin from the Isle of Wight fire and rescue service have been mobilsed to a suspected fire that has broken out in a laundry room in Ventnor. Crews were mobilsed to Knights Court on the High Street in Ventnor just after 12.30pm on Friday. The service recived a number of calls from members of the public reporting smoke issuing from a private home. A further appliance was also sent from Newport. Firefighters attended and found the cause was due to stream from a broken pipe. The property was checked and left with the owner to have repairs carried out.
