Gerald Ellis, 64, of Primrose in Filey, has been sentenced to three years and two months in prison for a series of sexual assaults committed against three women over a six-year period. The sentencing took place at Hull Crown Court after Ellis pleaded guilty to six counts of non-recent sexual assault and two counts of non-recent assault by penetration. The offences occurred between January 2014 and March 2020. In addition to his prison sentence, Ellis has been handed a 12-year sexual harm prevention order and a 15-year restraining order. He will also be placed on the sex offender register for life. In conjunction with this case, the police have launched a campaign featuring Jamie, a sexual abuse survivor who has waived her right to anonymity, to encourage other victims to speak out and seek help.
