Man Charged with Drug Offences After E-Bike Collision in Swindon

Wiltshire Police have charged a man with multiple drug offences following a collision involving an electric bike in Swindon. The incident occurred on September 12 at around 12:30pm in Pembroke Gardens, Swindon.

The rider of the e-bike, Jahred Tafari, 25, of Beech Avenue, Pinehurst, was arrested at the scene and later charged with possession of a bladed article and possession with intent to supply cocaine and heroin.

Tafari appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and has been remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance.

Police Sergeant Deller of the Stratton, Central Swindon North and West policing team praised the community’s assistance, stating: “This incident involved excellent collaborative work with the community assisting the police, and I want to thank them for that. We always take drugs and weapons offences incredibly seriously, and we encourage anyone with information on these crimes to report it to us.”

The investigation remains ongoing.
