Teen Murder Shock in Woolwich: Man Charged

Tragedy on Eglinton Road

Detectives probing the murder of 15-year-old Daejaun Campbell in Woolwich have charged an 18-year-old man. Police were called around 6.35pm on Sunday, 22 September, after reports of a disturbance in Eglinton Road, SE18. Officers found Daejaun with a stab wound. Despite desperate efforts by paramedics and police, he died shortly after.

Suspect in Custody, Another Released

Two men were arrested on suspicion of murder. Jacob Losiewicz, 18, from Church Manor Way, Abbey Wood, was formally charged with murder on Wednesday, 25 September. He is set to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 26 September. The other man, in his 50s, has been released without charge.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Chief Superintendent Trevor Lawry, leading the investigation, said:

“We are working around the clock to get justice for Daejaun. Our officers remain in the area to support the community. If you saw anything suspicious or anyone running from the scene on Eglinton Road, please come forward. Any dashcam footage could help.
