Raami Mohamed, a resident of Fairly Lane, Manchester, has been charged with the murder of Badri Issa. The accused has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court today, Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
The incident occurred on the evening of Wednesday, October 25, 2023, when the police received a report about a man with a severe stab wound on Moss Lane East in Moss Side. Emergency services found 22-year-old Badri with life-threatening injuries and rushed him to the hospital. Tragically, Badri succumbed to his injuries later that evening.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Naismith from the Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team expressed that while a man has been charged with Badri Issa’s murder, the investigation remains ongoing. He urged any witnesses or individuals with information to come forward, stressing the importance of their assistance in providing answers for Badri’s grieving family.
In relation to the case, a second man was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody. The dedicated team of detectives is diligently pursuing various leads and avenues of inquiry. Additionally, a third man, aged 21, was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and has been released on bail pending further investigations.
DCI Naismith acknowledged that sharing information can be daunting, but he implored individuals to do the right thing and help the investigation.
