A man has been sentenced to three weeks in prison after admitting to causing criminal damage outside the Bank of England by spraying paint on the historic building.

Olegs Svecovs, 27, from Northampton, pleaded guilty to the offence, which occurred on 18 July 2024.

Court Outcome

Appearing before magistrates, Svecovs was handed a three-week custodial sentence. In addition to the jail term, he was issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO), which bans him from entering the City of London for the next three years.
