A 27-year-old from Northampton has been locked up for defacing the iconic Bank of England with spray paint.
Three Weeks Behind Bars
Olegs Svecovs admitted criminal damage after tagging the historic building on 18 July 2024. At a magistrates’ court hearing, he was handed a three-week prison sentence. But that’s not all – Svecovs also received a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) banning him from entering the City of London for three years.
The CBO aims to stop him from causing trouble again and protect the capital’s public spaces.
