Man Remanded following burglaries in Havant and on Hayling Island

A 30 year-old man has been charged by officers investigating burglaries in Havant and on Hayling Island and is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court this morning (Friday, April 29). Andrew Evan Smith of Grafton Street in Portsmouth was charged with two counts of burglary by officers following enquiries into a break in at a home on Church Lane on Hayling Island on April 21 between 10:15am and 10:45am, and a residential property on Montgomery Road in Havant on April 15 between 10am and 8pm. In both cases jewellery was taken. Mr Smith has been remanded to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court.
