A man has been arrested following a serious assault in Margate in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Kent Police confirmed officers were called shortly after 3am on Saturday, 9 August 2025 to reports of an incident in Northdown Road, near its junction with Ethelbert Road.
Detectives say an investigation is ongoing, including a review of CCTV footage, forensic examination of the scene, and witness interviews.

Appeal for information

Kent Police is urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward.

A spokesperson said:

“If you were in the Northdown Road area around the time of the incident, please get in touch. Even the smallest detail could help our investigation.”
