Man Arrested After Brutal Stabbing in Margate
A man has been arrested following a serious stabbing in Margate during the early hours of Saturday morning.
Stab Victim Found on Northdown Road
Kent Police were called just after 3am on 9 August 2025 to reports of an attack near the junction of Northdown Road and Ethelbert Road. Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service found a man in his 40s suffering from a stab wound.
The victim was treated at the scene before being rushed to a London hospital. His condition is now serious but stable.
20-Year-Old Arrested as Police Launch Investigation
A 20-year-old man from Thanet was arrested in connection with the assault and is currently in police custody.
Detectives are combing through CCTV footage, carrying out forensic examinations, and interviewing witnesses as part of their ongoing probe.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Kent Police are urging anyone who was in the area or has CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
“If you were in the Northdown Road area around the time of the incident, please get in touch. Even the smallest detail could help our investigation,” a spokesperson said.
