More Tributes Paid after Ryde Man Stabbed as Woman is Remanded

Tributes have been paid to Jolyon Wray who found murdered in Ryde. Mr Wray, known as Joe to his family and friends, was found dead in a flat in East Hill Road on Monday, June 13.

His family said: “Joe was our number one son, big brother to Jub, Corrine and Luke and loving father to Violet. “He was a caring, honest, happy-go-lucky person with a heart of gold. Tragically taken away from his family, he will be much missed but never forgotten by all his family and friends. We are awaiting justice for our son.” His daughter Violet, 14, added: “Dad, you were a good man with a gold heart, funny sense of humour, good painter, hardworking and a loving father. “I will miss you. I love you forever and always. Taken too soon.” Deborah Napier, 53, of Amazon Close, Basingstoke,  appeared at Newport Magistrates court facing a murder charge  of 46-year-old Jolyon Barry Wray. She had been remanded into custody. .
