The incident happened in Hastings Road between 1.30am and 1.50am on Sunday 10 December 2023.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the blaze which had spread from the van to an adjacent fence. A 31-year-old local man was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been bailed pending further investigation.
