Police have charged a man with a stabbing on the Isle of Sheppey

A suspect has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm following a stabbing Sheerness.

 

Colin Hinds is alleged to have stabbed the victim, a man in his 30s, following a dispute in the Marine Road area on Monday 10 August 2020. The injured man sustained a serious injury that required hospital treatment.

 

Mr Hinds, 37, of Manor Road, Queenborough, was arrested in Essex by Kent Police officers on the same morning. He was later charged with grievous bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon. He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 11 August and was remanded in custody.

 

The next hearing will be at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday 8 September.
