Police hunt BMW with Boxer Dog in Boot after Hit and Run in Bournemouth

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a fail-to-stop collision in Bournemouth. At approximately 9pm yesterday, Sunday 19 March 2017, a collision occurred on West Cliff Road involving a black BMW and a pedestrian. The pedestrian – a 25-year-old man from Weymouth – sustained an injury to his ankle and was taken to hospital for treatment. The BMW, which had a Boxer-type dog in the boot, failed to stop at the scene. Police Constable Mike Henstridge, of the traffic unit, said: “The BMW car involved in this collision failed to stop at the scene and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the manner of driving of the BMW immediately before or after the incident, to please contact Dorset Police. “I would also like to hear from anyone who may have information about the identity of the driver.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting incident number 19:389.
