Logan Doig, 23, has been sentenced to nine-and-a-half years in jail for a series of offences committed between 2015 and 2020 across Tayside and Edinburgh. Doig, who committed the crimes between the ages of 15 and 21, was found guilty of raping and sexually assaulting four women, sexually assaulting a fifth woman, and non-sexual assault.
During the trial, Doig maintained his innocence and placed blame on his victims. However, he was convicted of 12 separate offenses and received a 12-and-a-half year extended sentence at the High Court in Glasgow. Nine-and-a-half years of the sentence will be served in custody, and Doig has been placed on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.
