A 19-year-old gang member has been locked up after cops connected him to a shotgun found dumped in Luton and a county lines drugs racket.

Police Chase Leads to Shotgun Find

Bedfordshire Police’s Boson guns and gangs unit traced Jevonte O’Connor to a stolen car pursued by officers on 15 October 2024. When the suspects fled the scene, police launched a thorough search.

Under a bridge between Kestrel Way and Coverdale, officers uncovered a shotgun. DNA on the weapon tied O’Connor directly to it.

Raid Uncovers Cash, Designer Bags & Drug Deals

In January 2025, cops raided O’Connor’s home in Caddington, seizing multiple phones, cash, deal bags, and flashy clothes. Phone analysis revealed messages advertising Class A drugs and even mentions of the police chase.

A second warrant found a designer bag stashed behind a bath panel containing nearly £1,000, Class B drugs, and packaging materials.

Guilty Plea Nets Three-Year Sentence

O’Connor admitted to four charges of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence, dangerous driving, and possessing an offensive weapon.

He was sentenced to three years at Luton Crown Court on Friday, 13 March.
