Kent Police sprang into action after a report came in just after 11.30am on Tuesday 22 November 2022. A hefty sum of cash was swiped earlier that very morning from a business on Harbour Street, Ramsgate.
Police Raid Leads to Hidden Cash Discovery
The Community Policing Team quickly tracked down a local property in Ramsgate. During their search, officers found stacks of stolen cash, including a stash cleverly hidden behind a kitchen kickboard.
Suspect Charged with Theft
The very next day, 27-year-old Joshua Cooper from Queensbridge Drive was slapped with a theft charge by the Victim Based Crime Team. He’s been bailed and must face Margate Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 3 January 2023.
