A field fire in Hernhill, Faversham, was successfully extinguished by Kent Fire and Rescue Service on Wednesday, 31 July 2024.

The incident occurred at approximately 4.27pm, prompting the dispatch of five fire engines and a special support all-terrain vehicle to Monkshill Road. Crews utilized high-pressure hose reel jets and other wildfire equipment to tackle the blaze, which had spread through a field of cut grass.
