Two charged with Murder after Body found at Enfield Property

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command have charged two people with murder after a body was found at a house in Enfield. Both were charged on Wednesday, 29 August as below. Gary Hopkins, 36, of Hartmoor Mews, Enfield and Stacey Docharty, 28, of Hartmoor Mews, Enfield were both charged on Wednesday, 29 August with murder, perverting the course of justice and preventing the lawful and decent burial of a body. They will appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 30 August. Acting on information received, officers attended the residential address in Hartmoor Mews, Enfield, at about 2pm on Monday, 27 August. The body of a man was found within the premises. While officers believe they know his identity, formal identification awaits. Next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course. A man and a woman were arrested at the scene and taken into police custody. They were charged as above.
