Two men appear in court over stolen vehicle

Two men to appear in court in connection with stolen Whitstable vehicle Two men have been charged with affray and motoring offences after a vehicle, suspected to be stolen from Kent, was recovered in London. On Wednesday 24 April 2019 officers from Met Police stopped a car in the area of Abbeywood following a short pursuit. Michael Hay, 28, of Ringers Road in Bromley and Wayne Farrell, 41, of Lullingstone Avenue in Swanley were arrested. Kent Police officers made enquiries around the vehicle, which is believed to have been taken from a property in Whitstable on Thursday 18 April 2019. Both men were subsequently charged with affray and theft of a motor vehicle. Mr Hay was also charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and driving without a licence or insurance. Mr Hay and Mr Farrell appeared at Medway Magistrates Court via video link on Saturday 27 April 2019. They have been bailed to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Tuesday 28 May 2019.
