Two People rescued by Coastguard after being cut off by Tide

The Bembridge Coastguard search and Rescue team supported by Ryde inshore Rescue lifeboat have been called into action to two people who’d been cut off by the lunchtime(Wednesday April 18). The two females involved in the incident escape injury after they where caught out and cut off by the incoming rising tide. An Maritime Coastguard spokeswoman said it was called by a concerned homeowner at 12.10pm who could see two females cut off by the tide near Westfield Park. A Coastguard Rescue team and a lifeboat were sent to the location given. The pair has self rescued and the rescue teams where stood down
