Tragic Crash Claims Dad of Three in Strood
A much-loved father of three, Andy Millward, has died after a horrific collision with an overturned lorry in Strood. The crash happened on Thursday when Andy’s black Vauxhall was hit at the busy junction of Station Road and Frindsbury Road.
Heartbreaking Tributes Flood the Scene
Friends and family have left floral tributes at the traffic lights where the fatal crash occurred. A photo of Andy is pinned to a lamp post amidst bouquets and messages. One relative wrote:
“You were more than just an uncle to me; you were the best big brother anyone could ask for. I can’t believe you’re no longer with us. I’ll miss your face, smile, laughs, dancing, and times spent with you.”
Andy’s sister Selina shared her grief:
“I keep wondering why you were taken from us in such a tragic accident. I adore you. Sleep tight, you will always be in our thoughts and hearts.”
Man Arrested but Released on Bail
Andy, in his 40s, was described by loved ones as a dearly cherished man. His mother, Freda Law, said: “My son was adored. He also leaves behind his three daughters and a large family.”
A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by reckless driving. He has since been released on bail until early next year as kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police continue their investigation.
Police Seek Witnesses and Footage
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam or CCTV footage to get in touch.
