Murder Probe Underway After Woman Vanishes in Ilford
A chilling murder investigation is underway after 46-year-old Yajaira Castro Mendez disappeared from her Ilford home. A man known to her is now charged with her murder and held in custody.
Who Was Yajaira Castro Mendez?
Yajaira, a Colombian national living in the UK, was last seen leaving her Ilford home on the morning of Thursday, 29 May. After failing to return that day, she was reported missing on Saturday, 31 May. Despite extensive police searches, she remains missing, with detectives fearing the worst.
