Shock in Ealing: Woman Found Dead Outside Pizza Parlour
Tragedy struck in Ealing as a young woman was found dead on a busy street outside a pizza parlour. Police are treating the death as unexplained, with detectives scrambling to piece together what happened.
Woman Dies on Busy Hanwell Street
Emergency services were called to Uxbridge Road, Hanwell, at 12:11pm on Thursday, 19 July, after reports of a seriously injured woman. Despite the rapid response from the London Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:50pm.
The victim has been named locally as Lilia Djairine, believed to be in her 20s. London’s Met Police have confirmed there was no evidence she was stabbed.
Cause of Death Confirmed: Hanging
A post-mortem at Fulham Mortuary on 20 July revealed the cause of death as hanging. Formal identification of Ms Djairine will take place soon, with her next-of-kin already informed.
Man Arrested and Released Under Investigation
A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder but has since been released under investigation. The Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command is now leading the inquiry as detectives in Ealing continue their enquiries.
