A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed at Archway Underground Station early this morning.
Emergency services were called to the station at 6:13am on Thursday, April 25, after reports of a stabbing. Paramedics from the london/">London Ambulance Service" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="194139">London Ambulance Service and a paramedic in a fast response car were dispatched to the scene.
On arrival, crews found a man suffering from a stab wound to his leg. He was treated at the scene before being taken as a priority to a major trauma centre for further care.
The police.uk" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="British Transport Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="194140">British Transport Police (BTP) temporarily closed the station while emergency services responded.
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said:
“We were called at 6:13am today (25 April) to reports of a stabbing at Archway Underground Station, N19.
We sent an ambulance crew and a paramedic in a fast response car to the scene.
We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and no arrests have yet been confirmed. Enquiries are ongoing.
Commuters faced minor disruption due to the temporary closure, but the station has since reopened.
