A fearless 15-year-old’s quick thinking led to the swift arrest of a vile predator running a twisted grooming empire on social media.

Rapist Gurpreet Randhawa Caught Same Day

Gurpreet Randhawa, 21, from Wolverhampton, was slammed with an 18-year jail sentence after pleading guilty to four counts of rape and a slew of child exploitation offences. His sick crimes stretched from July 2024 to September 2025.

The victim’s school immediately tipped off West Midlands Police, who wasted no time identifying and arresting Randhawa—also known online as “Ziggy” and other fake aliases—on the very same day. The rapid response shows the vital role of reporting abuse through trusted channels.

Multiple Victims, Horrific Abuse Exposed

  • Randhawa targeted and abused several girls at once, hiding behind a web of fake online identities.
  • He raped two 15-year-olds, including one who suffered three assaults in just two months. One terrifying attack even took place in his car, where he choked the victim.
  • He drugged one victim and filmed the abuse without her knowledge.
  • A 12-year-old was groomed on social media, forced to send indecent images and recruit others.
  • Shockingly, Randhawa shared live footage of an attack on the younger victim.

Police Praise Brave Victims, Call for More to Speak Out

“Randhawa targeted and exploited these young girls for his own sexual desires. The victims’ courage in coming forward was key to bringing him to justice,” said DC Mark Tallis of West Midlands Police’s public protection unit.

Police warn there could be more victims, urging anyone affected to come forward as Randhawa’s many aliases and lengthy abuse window suggest others may still be suffering in silence.
