A shooting incident on a street in central Tel Aviv on Saturday has left at least one man in serious condition, according to Israeli police. The suspected shooter, who was “apparently” a resident of the Palestinian town of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, was shot dead by a municipal patrol officer, as reported by Tel Aviv’s mayor, Ron Huldai, to Israel’s public broadcaster.

Details surrounding the incident remain limited, with the Inspector General of the Israel Police confirming the attacker’s Palestinian origin but not providing further information. A police spokesman, while confirming that the shooter had been “neutralised,” did not disclose additional details about the suspect.
