Two teenagers have been arrested after a motorcycle which had allegedly failed to stop for police was involved in a collision with a car in Bradford.

Police attended the junction of Moorside Road and Harrogate Road at around 3.47pm following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a car.

A 17-year-old boy riding on the motorcycle suffered a serious leg injury, while another 17-year-old boy on the bike sustained less serious injuries.

Police said the motorcycle had been sighted by officers shortly before the collision and had failed to stop.

Both teenagers were taken to hospital following the crash.

They have also been arrested on suspicion of offences including theft of a motor vehicle, failing to stop for police and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

One of the teenagers was additionally arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.

Police enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident remain ongoing.
