Two Brits were among four people killed in a horror helicopter crash near Seaworld Drive, Main Beach, Australia.

Tragedy Hits Tourists

Ron Hughes, 65, and Diane Hughes, 57, were enjoying a trip Down Under when they boarded the doomed chopper alongside Vanessa Tadros, 36, and pilot Ash Jenkinson, 40. The four lost their lives after a shocking mid-air collision.

Mid-Air Mayhem

Queensland Police say the crash happened around 2pm. One helicopter was landing while the other was taking off — when the two aircrafts “came into contact with each other.”

Survivors and Injuries

The second helicopter, carrying six people, managed to land safely.

  • Five passengers suffered minor injuries
  • They were rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital
  • One passenger escaped completely unscathed
