Two Fire crews from Fareham and Hightown in Hampshire were called to Freegrounds in Titchfield just after 7pm on Thursday evening. On arrival crews were confronted with a camper van that was very well alight. The vehicle had a number of Gas containers in the vehicle. Despite the dangerous contents the driver had failed to mark the vehicle to alert fire crews. All occupants were free and clear of the vehicle before the fire service arrived. Crews got to work using two sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to put out the fire. They also used a thermal imaging camera to check on the stability of the gas containers . The camper van was left severely damaged by fire, which is thought to have started accidentally. No one is believed to have been hurt in the incident
