Local MP, Dame Caroline Dinenage, has signed the Book of Solidarity for Ukraine which will be sent to the chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament. The Book has been signed by MPs from across the House Of Commons this week as a show of unity and support for the people of Ukraine. Commenting Caroline said: “It’s vital that we express our solidarity with the brave Ukrainian nation at this dreadful time. British Government and people must continue to do all it can to support Ukraine through this conflict in thought, word and deed. I’m so proud of the individuals, organisations and businesses in our area who are raising money and donating items to be sent to help refugees fleeing this unspeakable conflict.” The Book of Solidarity will be sent to the Speaker’s counterpart, Ruslan Stefanchuk, who is the chairman of Ukraine’s Parliament, the Verkhovna Rada.
