Appeal following armed robbery in Reading

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Reading. The incident occurred on Thursday 7 March sometime between 9pm and 10pm. The victim, a 20-year-old man, was walking along Blenheim Road towards London Road. As he approached a car parked at the side of the road, three offenders stepped out of the vehicle and walked towards him. One of the offenders demanded money and threatened the victim with a knife. After the victim handed over a quantity of cash, the offenders got back into the car and drove away along Blenheim Road and turned left onto London Road. The victim was not injured during the incident. The first offender, carrying the knife, is described as an Asian man, in his mid-twenties, approximately 5ft 9ins tall of slim build with short black hair. He was wearing a white hooded top with the hood down. The second is described as an Asian man, in his mid-twenties, approximately 6ft 2ins tall of slim build with short black hair. The third offender is described as an Asian man, in his mid-twenties, approximately 5ft 9ins tall of slim build with short black hair. The vehicle is described as a small white car, similar to a Ford Fiesta. Investigating officer, PC Dennis Hicks from Reading police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to come forward. “In particular I would like to hear from anyone who may have been driving along Blenheim Road and captured the incident on their dash cam. “The victim was left shaken after this incident.” Anyone who has information about this incident can report the details on the Thames Valley Police website quoting reference 43190076335.
