Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a basement fire at a house in Malvern Road, Gillingham. Two fire engines attended and crews wore breathing apparatus while using hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze. No casualties were reported. It’s believed the fire started accidentally due to an electrical fault
