Officers re appealing for information after a knifepoint robbery of a shop

Police were called at about 4.20pm today (Thursday, April 21st) following a report that a man wearing a balaclava and armed with a knife had gone into the Spar shop on Leeds Road in Nelson and threatened the staff working behind the counter.

He made off with a quantity of cash and cycled away from the store.

The offender was described as white, 6ft, large build.

Anyone who recognises the man in the images, or who has any information, should contact 101 quoting log 0924 of today. Alternatively contact independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
