Police investigating an assault at Upholland railway station are today releasing an image in connection with the incident

At just after 3pm on Wednesday 17 February, a train guard asked a man to put his dog on a lead before boarding the train. The man refused to do so, and the guard told him that he couldn’t board the train.

The dog then chased the guard and bit him on the leg. As the guard defended himself from the dog, the man punched him in the face then grabbed his head and said “I’ll take your eye out”.

The man then bit the guard’s ear before he and his dog fled into Upholland village.

Officers believe the man in the image may have information that could help their investigation.

If you recognise him, or have any information, please contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 288 of 17/02/21.
